In an effort to collect needed supplies for healthcare workers, the faculty, students, and staff from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (bobÌåÓý) rallied to collect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to assist. To spearhead the effort, bobÌåÓý contributed thousands of dollars of PPE equipment from each its four campuses in Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Louisiana to be used in local hospitals to help combat the COVID-19 crisis.
The Bluefield College Board of Trustees voted this month to further align Bluefield College with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (bobÌåÓý) family of schools by joining its education consortium. bobÌåÓý-Virginia had the honor and privilege to host Hilda Hutcherson, MD, as a part of the annual William G. Anderson Black History Month Speaker Series. A native of Tuskegee, Alabama, Dr. Hutcherson studied Biology at Stanford University. She received her medical training from Harvard Medical School and performed her medical internship at the University of California in San Francisco. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
